Service Manager

Our client is looking for an experienced Service Manager to join a thriving dealership in Newfoundland.

The individual has ample experience running a service team with a minimum of 10 years experience in the Automobile Industry and at least 5 years in a Service Management position. Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of the service department, including scheduling, workflow, and technician assignments to ensure efficient operations.
* Lead and motivate a team of service technicians, mechanics, and support staff to deliver outstanding automotive repair services.
* Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
* Cultivate strong relationships with customers by providing transparent service writing, accurate auto estimating, and upselling additional services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized service area that promotes efficiency and safety.
* Handle cash transactions accurately and manage administrative tasks such as parts ordering, inventory control, and documentation of repair orders.
* Monitor key performance indicators like customer feedback scores, technician productivity, and departmental profitability to identify areas for improvement.


Qualifications:
* Proven experience in dealership or automotive service management with a comprehensive understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures.
* Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, oil changes, brakes, suspensions, alignments, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair.
* Demonstrated ability to lead a team of service technicians while fostering a positive work environment focused on teamwork and excellence.
