Our client in Miramichi, one of Eastern Canada’s fastest-growing automotive retailers, has an immediate opening for a General Manager
The Opportunity:
Management and leadership of the entire dealership staff including:
- Hiring – constantly searching out potential sales leaders, regardless of experience relevant to our industry, that you believe you can train, coach, and motivate for success. Conducting proper interviews and doing proper reference checks.
- Training – this includes initial training that consists of not only manufacturer, technology, and process training but also, most importantly, sales process training initially as well as continuous ongoing training around these areas.
- Coaching – live, real feedback to team members on how to improve their success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to ownership, there are many responsibilities that you can see below, but the main four responsibilities of the General Manager is as follows:
- Maximizing Dealership Profitability – Ensuring that we are meeting profitability targets and budgets for the overall dealership. At the end of the day, short-term and long-term profitability is the goal of the dealership.
- Maximizing Achievement of Sales Targets of the dealership – Every location has monthly Sales Targets that are set by ownership in conjunction with the General Manager for all the departments of the dealership, including New Vehicle Department, Used Vehicle Department, Service and Parts Departments. It is the goal of the General Manager to ensure that these targets are achieved.
- Exceptional Customer Experience – The way to ensure both short and long-term profitability and sales targets is to give our guests world-class exceptional service in all areas of the dealership.
- Common Purpose and Culture – We believe that we have a “special sauce” at our company that includes how we treat our team members, how we communicate internally and how we use the Company Operating System to ensure that we are all on-purpose - “We Create Lasting Relationships by Providing the Finest Automotive Experiences Anywhere”
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of Auto Industry experience, with at least 2 years of that experience as a General Manager, Sales Manager, or Fixed Operations Manager.
- A track record of success within the Auto Industry that can be demonstrated and supported.
- An extremely strong work ethic.
- Must be very competitive, with a desire to “win”
- Must have a very high moral compass and yourself with honesty and integrity at all times.
- Must be able to work within a Team Environment, leading the entire team while at the same time working with the Auto Group centralized support teams.
