Business Development Manager (Remote)

Job Description

This (Remote) Business Development position is the first point of contact with potential new customers and leaves our business’ first impression out in the field. This role is responsible for driving revenue and customer growth.

They must have enthusiasm for our product(s) and the desire to help our customers get the most out of their business by coupling fantastic processes with our software.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Holding discovery calls, giving product demos, and most importantly, closing deals

● Meeting new people and getting face to face with potential new customers

● Being out on the road and visiting different prospective clients

● Growing market share through new customer acquisition

● Building a solid reputation for our product, company, and yourself

● Using your skills and experience to get an audience with decision makers

● Reaching and exceeding sales targets and quotas

● Using online tools for virtual meetings such as Google Workspace and other web-based CRM platforms

● Staying up to date on how the retail automotive industry operates and the players within a dealership


YOU HAVE:

● 3 - 5 years of successful SaaS and/or automotive industry sales experience

● A clear understanding of what it takes to grow a market through new customer acquisition

● The comfort level to use online tools such for virtual meetings such as Google Workspace and other web-based CRM platforms

● Experience in negotiating and closing SaaS deal sizes of at least $15-50k/year in terms of annual contract value (ACV) and sales cycles of 1-3 months

● Situational awareness to know when to be more direct and ask for the sale vs. reading a room and knowing when to play the long game

● A general understanding of how the retail automotive industry operates and the players within a dealership

● A strong desire and internal motivation to win
